Burger King Tacos?!

Burger King added something Interesting to menu... Or rather re-added... TACOS! While new to me apparently Burger King had tacos back in the late 90's before being removed from the menu. And then again as recently as 2010 before (again) being taken away. I'm not sure how I missed these seeing as tacos are one of my favorite foods. Well now that it's back I'm gonna try it before it's gone again! So how does it taste? And how does it stack up against other fast food tacos?

Well the taco is true to its name of being Crispy. So much so in fact that every bite I took the tortilla broke into a million tiny, gum cutting pieces. I know this is common with hard shell tacos but this was rediculous! The seasoned ground beef tasted ok but the texture was extremely mushy and not like ground beef at all. It was more like refried beans which was a little off putting. The taco sauce was like a generic brand taco sauce you would find at your local grocery store. Slightly spicy but it had an odd sweet taste as well. Also, like with every other fast food taco, it had WAY too much lettuce and I ended up removing most of it. Put all that together and you have a taco that's just... Ok. Not bad... But I would stick with Taco Bell. The upside to this taco though is it's price. They're only $1 each which is perfect if you're if you want something cheap and quick. But then again Taco Bell is also cheap and quick. But hey, having options is never a bad thing.
